What is ‘Aristotle to Digital’ all about?
In this modern age of science and information, there is a tendency to believe that something a few weeks old is already outmoded and obsolete. However almost all of modern life is built upon the ideas that the Greeks brought forth in the Golden Hellenistic Age. And foremost amongst them were those that came from the mind of Aristotle. Not always easy read and sometimes much maligned, his ideas still form one of the cornerstones of our civilization. He essentially codified the study of logic, a quantity that seems to be inversely proportional to the amount of information that surrounds us.
This blog is dedicated to talking about the modern world with an eye towards what classical thought in general, and Aristotle specifically, would have to say. What Aristotle have to say about artificial intelligence and object oriented programming? What does the study of language and linguistics reveal about how humans think? How is logic used and misused in today’s discussion? All these and more will be explored.
